Just north of Mount Blanc, the Grand Massif, offers 260 km of pistes from 700m to 2500m and benefits from a micro climate ( which derives from that Mont Blanc and its 'chapeau' ), boasting an exemplary snow record.
There are the huge off-piste powder areas of Flaine for the powder hounds, tree lined pistes of Les Carroz for when the visibilty is poor, gentle greens and blues of Samoens and Morrillon for the less experienced and nursery slopes for beginners and children.

Refreshment at the Telemark. One of the best of the mountain restaurant situated at the top of Morrillon. A great place on the mountain to meet up with friends or take a well earned rest. |
