Verchaix is the next village down the Giffre valley from Samoens on the opposite side of the river to Morillon. There is a park with a lake that has an artificial sandy beach for swimming in.

There are numerous activities around the lake including an adventure playground in which you climb through the trees on a variety of ladders, swings and rope slides, including two huge rope slides across the lake.  There is also a junior course for children under the age of 10, all under professional supervision In addition there is crazy golf, boules, tennis, volley ball, horse riding and for the petrol heads quad biking.
