Situated in the charming 17th century alpine resort of Samoens less than an hour from Geneva, Les Terrasses is a delightful, privately owned chalet, now available for rent. After a year of 'extreme renovation' in 2004, the all new interior accomodates 8/10 people in four double/twin/triple bedrooms each with fully tiled en-suite or bathroom, a high-tech stainless steel kitchen with adjoining diner, and a large traditional living room with log fire.

Les Terrasses is two hundred yards from the edge of town, with the nearest restaurants and bars just a three minute stumble away. The Grand Massif Express is 300 yards or four minutes level walk from the chalet (even in ski boots!). Opened in Christmas 2003, this eight man 'gondola' can transport you to 1600 metres in just eight minutes from where you can either ski down to Samoens 1100 or carry on up on the chair lifts to Morillon, Les Carroz or Flaine.

| Just north of Mount Blanc, the Grand Massif, offers 260 km of pistes from 700m to 2500m and benefits from a micro climate ( which derives from that Mont Blanc and its 'chapeau' ), boasting an exemplary snow record. With 260 kilometres of pistes and three board parks, highlights range from picturesque runs below the tree line in the village of Les Carroz to the wild open powder fields of Flaine. |
